Awards
Brook Meadow's success acknowledged by these fantastic awards is a testament to all our team and their hard work.
the RURAL BUSINESS AWARDS - NATIONAL WINNERS! - TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY - 2020/21In a year when we found ourselves in the tightest of corners in the unchartered territory of a pandemic we performed at our best. To win this award means so very much to the Hart family who have endured tragedy and health issues; Jasper being a 2 x cancer survivor, continuing to battle on like a trooper despite there only being 85% of him left. This was a year when we took a leap of faith and invested everything we had in our numerous lockdown projects believing the a time would come when customers would return.
the RURAL BUSINESS AWARDS - NATIONAL FINALISTS! - BEST RURAL TOURISM BUSINESS - 2020/21We were thrilled to be national finalists in the tourism category following a challenging year adapting to the changing world we found ourselves in.

The Telegraph - 13.06.2023Why this swathe of the Midlands is the most underrated corner of England"...My home, Marabou, is Claire's take on Out of Africa- down to the antique rugs, net draped four-poster and striking crockery. It's the result of hours spent sourcing antiques, talented carpenter and upholsterer friends, a creative eye and attention to detail. On my first morning a pretty basket of goodies, including poached apricots, cured meats and wildflowers arrived on my deck, and I breakfasted like a baroness, with a gaggle of mallards for company...."

FArmers Weekly -11.05.2023Case study: Holiday accommodation provision often spans farming generations"...With the fields surrounding the site being worked or stocked, visitors can experience a bit of farm life during their stay.
“Mum is known as the ‘Chicken Whisperer’ because she leads the egg-collecting experience. The children love it; they can stroke or feed the hens, and Dad leads visits to the calves,” she says. “Farmers are nothing if not authentic. They are who they are, and there is real work going on around the guests – something that adds to the experience""... |

THE SUN 11.08.2023BASE GLAMP The best hidden-gem glamping sites – with TV star owners, margarita pop-ups & wood-fired hot tubsTHE VINTAGE ONE
Brook Meadow, Leicestershire The Lowdown: Pretty cabinets of antique crockery, a slipper bath with brass overhead rain shower and jungle-inspired furnishings make the Marabou safari tent on this traditional campsite a beaut. Details such as Smeg appliances, a four-poster bed and a big, squidgy sofa will raise a smile – as will the super-cute kids’ tent beds, which mean two families can share. Fluffy hot-water bottles, velvet quilts and a wood burner keep things cosy, then unzip the canvas for lake views and a double swing. Later, pick a hay bale for kids’ “moovie” night in the Cowshed and catch foodie pop-ups by local talent La Fête Fleurie, who whip up Mexican street-food suppers with excellent margaritas, plus divine cakes with your morning cuppa. There’s a wood-fired-pizza-oven horsebox that visits, too. Catherine Bennion-Pedley |
