Egg Collecting

The farm is home to 12 special breed hens, carefully selected by Mary for their hardiness and temperament. These hens enjoy free-range access to a large paddock. Take a guided walk through Mary and Jasper's kitchen garden, sampling fresh herbs.  Interact with our friendly hens by feeding them, touching their feathers, and collecting their eggs while learning about their care and how to keep them safe.  If you’d like to experience the joy of collecting eggs from our happy hens, please let us know a day in advance. A booking fee of £2.50 is required, which covers the cost of the eggs you can take home with you.  If Jasper is available, you may even have the chance to sit on a tractor.

We have some beautiful countryside where you are able to walk your dogs.  This is located past the back of our Cabin Camping and leads through some beautiful woodland.  We do request that dogs are kept on leads, especially during the springtime as there will be ewes with their lambs in a nearby field.  We have a designated area for play off the lead too.  Please ask at reception for details.  

OuTDOOR CINEMA

During the summer and by popular demand we will be showing a series of classic family films for all guests to see with no additional charge. Please bring your own blankets for the straw bales.  You are welcome to bring your own food if you wish.

JAsper's farm tours

Enjoy a bumpy tour of the farm in a 4 x 4  with Jasper hosting/driving.  The tour will explore the farm, family history, conservation and both old and new farming methods. The 4 x 4 seats up to 7 passengers. The trip costs a minimum of £20. £5/adult. £3/child up to 7 people. This is to cover petrol and an hour of Jasper's time. All children must be accompanied by adults.  Tours to be run Easter -September on weekends.  Please ask in reception if you would like to book.

pond dipping

Watch as your children delight in discovering diverse pond life in the lake.  Fishing nets are available from our shop.

avalanche adventure

Book an adventure you will never forget.  Avalanche is a short walk from our campsite. Experiences on offer include quad bike safari exploring the woods on the farm, clay pigeon shooting, archery, buggies and blindfold driving.

Gliding

Take a gliding experience or lessons to learn to glide at The Gliding Centre located just minutes from the site. There's also a new café and bar. Open 7 days a week throughout the year. They also have the most amazing bonfire night, sometimes with an aeronautical display.
