Brook Meadow boasts a stunning 5-acre coarse fishing lake, stocked with carp up to 26lbs, tench up to 8lbs and perch. It is set in the heart of the farm with easy vehicle access.

Fishing is available to guests at the holiday site as well as syndicate members. Fishing is included in the cost of Lodge stays and extra for camping and glamping guests.  If you would like to fish as a day guest you also need to pay the equivalent of a camping/bivvy fee on top of your fishing.

Our fishing-related facilities include:

• Fishing lodge with seating, utility area, hob, kettle, microwave, communal fridge, wash-up, washing machine and washroom facilities
• Onsite shop​ with fishing bait and refreshment

Tipping the scales at an impressive 27 lbs 12 oz as of December 17th, 2024, Brenda is sure to add a thrilling challenge to your fishing adventure.

With our lake’s exceptional stock and dedicated feeding program, we’re confident Brenda will continue to grow—and some of our other big fish are hot on her fins! Rules

• Fishing licence required
• Fishing exclusively for guests staying on our site. No day-trip fishing permitted
• Fishing passes available at reception
• Fishing membership cards or fishing passes to be with you during fishing.  You may be asked to leave if you have not paid to fish. Fishing tickets are available from reception​
• No keepnets permitted
• Barbless hooks only
• Minimum 8lb lines
• minimum 42" landing nets required
• Carp unhooking mats to be used
• Under 18's to be supervised at all times when fishing​​

• Syndicate members may fish the entire lake
• Non-syndicate fishing is marked out to be the easterly side of the lake
• No bivvies to be left unattended overnight
• Dogs to be kept on a lead and please pick up after them
• Please take your litter home or place in bins provided. Large quantities of litter to be placed in the large bins and use recycle bins where possible
• Please be careful to ensure safety of the wildlife to avoid incidents where birds have been fatally tangled in fishing wire
• We may ask to check your equipment adheres to our rules before giving you a pass or during your time fishing with us
• Fish are not to be removed from the lake for consumption
• Please do not feed the birds

• £11/day fishing + your camping fee
• £6/junior day fishing under 14's
• £15/night /24 hour fishing + your camping fee
• ​Fishing is included for Lodge guests, on the easterly side of the lake​
• ​£29/night bivvy high season​

More About Syndicate Membership

If you enjoy our fishing why not consider becoming a syndicate member and benefit from all the privileges such as exclusive access to the westerly side of the lake, ability to bring a guest and the added comfort of our washroom facilities and fishing lodge. From £250/year.   

Syndicate Member Privileges:

• Fishing of the entire lake with exclusive access to the westerly half of the lake
• Fishing available all year round
• Heated fishing lodge open all year round equipped with toilet and shower facilities, a microwave, kettle, fridge, sink, table and chairs for all members to use
• Members may bring one paying guest so you can enjoy fishing with your partner, a friend or a family member. Please notify us at reception and pay for their pass​

Syndicate Rules and Rates:

• Please adhere to the fishing rules listed above
• Syndicate guest fishing £14 for 24 hours
• Syndicate guest fishing £10 for 8 hours
• Syndicate infant guest up to 7 years - free
• Syndicate guest not fishing £4/day
• Syndicate guest's bivvy £24-£26 night, (normal camping charges apply - see camping rules and rates)
• Syndicate junior guest 8-12 years of age £4
• Syndicate infant guest up to and inc. 7 years - free​
• Fishing membership cards or guest fishing passes to be with you during fishing.  You may be asked to leave if you have not paid to fish
• No parties to be held in the syndicate area
• Family groups are not permitted to the syndicate area but they are welcome to fish on the easterly half of the lake open to campers and you can fish with them there. Our normal camping and fishing charges will apply
• Only army green bivvys or shelters permitted​
