Hedgerow and Flower Crown / Wreath Walk and Workshop
Take a guided walk with Nicola of La Fete Fleurie and collect the foliage and wildflowers you need to create your flower crown or wreath. Watch as Nicola demonstrates each stage in the process and helps you make your own to take away. There is no additional charge for this delightful workshop.
Rewilding yourself through mindful experiences
All the experiences selected for the day draw on nature, and the wellbeing benefits that can be gained from immersing ourselves within it. The process of working with our hands, learning new techniques, and becoming open to new ideas and possibilities can make us more engaged with our minds and our bodies. As we become absorbed in the process of making, listening, seeing and tasting, with the space to explore your creativity and the natural world around us, we hope you will feel inspired and invigorated by your stay with us on this special weekend.
Sarah Darby - Plein Air Workshops
Introducing the super talented fine artist, Sarah Darby who is offering two fabulous courses at our Camp Fest:
- a class to paint a self portrait using an egg as a guide for 5-12yrs old (accompanied by an adult)
- and an adult plein air outdoor landscape painting class.
Brook Meadow Dog Show
Possibly the sweetest Dog Show you’ve ever seen with a fabulous turn out! It was a pleasure to host such well behaved dogs and owners strutting their stuff in the straw bale show ring to display their tricks, fine coats and personalities in the sunshine. Our guest judge, neighbouring vet legend, Moyra Butler had a hard job to choose the winners, but the wide range of categories ensured nearly every pet won something!! Such was the success of this 'pawsome' event we plan to run more light hearted dog shows in the future school summer holidays.
Forest Bathing
Take a 15 minute walk to our woodland wedding venue where you can unwind in the serenity of a forest glade, and immerse yourself in a calming experience that is "forest bathing". Forest bathing is an ancient Japanese process of relaxation, (shinrin yoku). Simply being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing and connecting with nature around you; noticing the light dappled leaves or the sound of movement amongst the trees. We will supply some blankets and cushions to lay down and relax in comfort so you may benefit from the rejuvenating experience. If anyone should need transporting there or back, please let us know. Last minute booking is possible.
Little Camp Fest
We have tailored a day of activities for you and your little ones to participate in a relaxed, outdoor environment.
