"Marabou" Safari Glamping Lodge
For those who want complete canvas comfort our two storey Safari tent couldn't be more luxurious. The glamping area is set in a secluded spot and accessed via a foot bridge over the stream. The Safari lodge sits side by side with our Sunbird Safari bell tent and both enjoy a view of the lake from their south west facing decks with woodland behind. This spacious tent has everything you need to get back to basics in comfort and style. The lodge can sleep up to 8 people thanks to the additional bed space on the mezzanine sleeping area.
Safari-themed Glamping? Yes please!
Taking inspiration from Sydney Pollack's Oscar-winning film, 'Out of Africa' we are creating a colonial style safari atmosphere to offer you complete escapism. The exclusive glamping area is located away from the main camping field for privacy. Like colonial structures the tent is raised up on timber stilts and boasts a stunning view of the lake from it's generous deck.
The tent benefits from a wood burning stove for cosy nights in. You'll be able to prepare food in the kitchen and cook with a gas hob or the wood burning stove oven. The tent opens up to the south west facing deck. You'll find both indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas. As always with Brook Meadow you can expect the very best quality in design, a cosy atmosphere, unique styling and complete comfort so you can really have the very best of stays and create magical memories. |
One bathroom is provided in the safari lodge with hot and cold running mains water, slipper bath with shower over the bath and toilet. Additional washroom facilities, (should you need them) are no more than 250 meters away. Sleep like a dream in luxury bedding, with only the canvas between you and the night sky above. Connect with nature whilst enjoying the luxury you deserve; wake to the sound of bird song and the rustle of leaves, unwind and reconnect.
Children will thrive on the adventure and absolutely love bedding down in the sweet cabin bed or in the adorable tent beds we've made for the mezzanine. The layout can work for two families of four, or a group of up to 8. We have tested the cabin bed and successfully slept 4 eight year olds in it. Next door the master bedroom has a fourposter kingsize bed and upstairs there is another kingsize bed and two single tent beds. Almost everything in the tent has been hand picked, up-cycled or made bespoke to create a magical experience unique to Brook Meadow. |

"...My home, Marabou, is Claire's take on Out of Africa- down to the antique rugs, net draped four-poster and striking crockery. It's the result of hours spent sourcing antiques, talented carpenter and upholsterer friends, a creative eye and attention to detail. On my first morning a pretty basket of goodies, including poached apricots, cured meats and wildflowers arrived on my deck, and I breakfasted like a baroness, with a gaggle of mallards for company...."

"Pretty cabinets of antique crockery, a slipper bath with brass overhead rain shower and jungle-inspired furnishings make the Marabou safari tent on this traditional campsite a beaut. Details such as Smeg appliances, a four-poster bed and a big, squidgy sofa will raise a smile – as will the super-cute kids’ tent beds, which mean two families can share. Fluffy hot-water bottles, velvet quilts and a wood burner keep things cosy, then unzip the canvas for lake views and a double swing. Later, pick a hay bale for kids’ “moovie” night in the Cowshed and catch foodie pop-ups by local talent La Fête Fleurie, who whip up Mexican street-food suppers with excellent margaritas, plus divine cakes with your morning cuppa. There’s a wood-fired-pizza-oven horsebox that visits, too." Catherine Bennion-Pedley- The Sun

Reviews
"Our stay in the marabou safari tent was awesome, the tent was a 5 star accommodation. We were amazed with the content of the tent we had everything and more from what we expected from the photos. The site is beautiful and the staff always happy to help. We all loved our stay. We were 3 grandma’s with 5 grandchildren, the children loved the bed layouts and they tried all 3 bedrooms on the 3 nights stay. We loved it. The view of the lake as you stand on the veranda was just amazing.
There fore I would like to book the safari tent for next year.
Many thanks for a fabulous stay,
