​Brook Meadow made its awards debut last night and scooped the coveted category “Most Enjoyable Stay -  Self Catering” Award at the Go Leicester Tourism Awards event held at the Athena on 29th November.
 
Brook Meadow offers three design focused lakeside Lodges and gorgeous safari themed glamping on a campsite set in a working farm in the countryside near the village of Sibbertoft. A successful farm diversification that prides itself on quality and design with a high level of service and energy-efficient principles.

Over the past year Brook Meadow has been reinvented and rejuvenated, also recently winning, 'Retreat of the Year 2018' with Living in the Shires Magazine. The site is child and dog friendly with one lodge accepting pets. Judges at the Go Leicester Awards were looking for luxury and innovative design and thought Brook Meadow had achieved this with design flair and attention to detail.

Commenting on their awards success, Jasper and Mary Hart, owners of Brook Meadow said: “We started out focused entirely on farming but spotted an opportunity to diversify after dipping our toe into hospitality through a simple bed and breakfast in our bungalow.  Plans quickly grew to building a lake to create a stunning backdrop for lodges, fishermen and campers to enjoy. Over the last 20 years the business has grown with vigour and our invaluable input from our daughter Claire over the last year has transformed the standards of our accommodation and the quality of experience offered. The lakeside lodges offer all the benefits of being close to water with the comforts of central heating, luxurious quality and unique botanical design so fitting for the idyllic setting to bring the outside in. Whether you are outside enjoying a walk round the lake or tucked up on the sofa with a book you’ll feel connected to nature and the stunning view.
 
To have our success acknowledged by these awards is testament to all our staff, their hard work and support to bring the vision home. We also love to promote other rural businesses too and hope our guests can enjoy the exciting activities and places to eat close by.  It’s obviously a great honour to be named “Most Enjoyable Stay -  Self Catering” at this year’s ceremony and we can’t wait to continue improving our facilities in the future”.

In 2019 Brook Meadow intends to implement a landscaping scheme with secluded camping zones, meadow flowers to encourage bees and a children’s natural play area which will reduce the campsite capacity and improve visitor experience.
